About LLC Abroad

LLC Abroad publishes guides and comparisons for people who live outside the United States and want to open a US LLC. We focus on the steps that change when you aren’t a US resident: choosing a state, getting an EIN without a Social Security number, keeping a registered agent and filing the forms a foreign-owned LLC owes every year.

• Guides that explain each step as the official sources describe it, with links to those sources.
• A ranking and a calculator that compare formation services by what they cost over 3 years, not only by the first-year price.
• Reviews and comparisons of formation services: what each one includes, what it charges extra for and any limits it has for owners outside the US.

What we are not

We are not a law firm or an accounting firm, and nothing on this site is legal or tax advice. For your specific case, talk to an accountant or attorney who works with non-residents. We also don’t form LLCs: the services we compare do that, under their own terms.

How we work and how we make money

Every price and fee comes from an official source: the provider’s own site, or the state’s official site or law. Pages with prices show when we last checked them. Our methodology explains how we compare services.
